VOLLEYBALL: Chiefs aim for more after near miss

MOSES LAKE — Two points. 15-13. That's all that separated the Moses Lake Chiefs volleyball team from a first Class 4A state tournament appearance.
The run came after an up-and-down season which saw the Chiefs ladies find the rhythm they had sought so desperately at just the right time before losing that fateful fifth game against arch-rivals Wenatchee in November.
With four key players graduated from the squad, three of which continued their careers at Big Bend Community College, and another - Kayla Bernsen - playing basketball at Western Washington University, it could be safe to say the program could need time to make some adjustments.
Yet, don't tell that to the current Chiefs players.
