VOLLEYBALL: Kennewick rallies to beat Kamiakin in 4

KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin came out strong against host Kennewick on Thursday night and won 25-13 in the first set, but the Lions rallied for the remainder of the CBBN 3A matchup to tally wins of 25-23, 25-20, 25-16 and beat the Braves.

vb_kenn_9-8Meghan McIntyre led the Lions' attack with 11 kills, Lizzy Ridley pulled six aces out of her hat and the magic number was 20 for Caylee Engel (assists) and Brittany Evans (digs).

"We played really well and never gave up," Lions coach Julie Maciboba said. "I'm proud of their performance tonight."

Alexis Scott led the Kamiakin attack with 10 kills and was 18-for-18 from the service line with two aces.

Nikki Eldred had seven kills and three aces, Suzi Davison contributed two aces and 22 assists and Hanford swept visiting Sunnyside in three sets in a CBBN 3A match.
